Arshad Warsi is finally doing what he wanted to do for a long time go on a biking expedition. The actor is leaving for a 10-day trip to Ladakh from Manali, soon.
His school friend, Rajiv Gupta, who has specially flown from Canada for the sojourn, will accompany him.
Says Arshad, "In the past when I made elaborate plans, it never worked out. I had been thinking about it for a while now, but in this case it is now or never."
The actor was waiting for his wife Maria Goretti and his kids to be back from their US holiday before leaving for the mystical land. "Now that they are back, I am taking off!" says Arshad.
The star will fly to New Delhi and from there to Manali, from where he hits the road. Though he has a Harley Davidson, he will be riding a Bullet for the trip.
"It is going to be one rough and grueling ride but I am prepared for it. We are stocked up on tents, sleeping bags and other paraphernalia apart from lots of coffee which I will sip in the moonlight."
Arshad feels that he has to complete his trip because once he is back he will be busy with the Double Dhamaal promotions.
What about being recognised on the road? "It happens, but it's okay. On my way to Deolali, we had put up a tent and were resting when a farmer saw us.
He thought he had seen Arshad Warsi's ghost, he told me. He did not expect to see me in a tent!"
