Gulshan, one of the lead actors of "I Am Kalam", will attend the screenings which are being organised at The Ray Stark Family Theatre in Los Angeles starting June 21 by the USC School of Cinematic Arts and Smile Foundation.
The actor is extremely proud of the film, directed by director Nila Madhab Panda and produced by NGO Smile Foundation.
"I have been exposed to the highest form of artistic and entertaining world cinema. But never before have I witnessed the kind of audience response that 'I Am Kalam' has generated.
After we got a heartening response at several international film festivals, I started e-mailing the stills, trailers and synopsis to my friends and colleagues in Hollywood seeking support for this cause-oriented film," Gulshan said in a press statement.
The film narrates the story of a poor Rajasthani boy, who is inspired by former Indian president APJ Abdul Kalam.
"I strongly believe that 'I Am Kalam' is an extraordinary film and I salute Smile Foundation and Madhab for making the film," he said.
The movie was earlier screened at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA), where it received an encouraging response, motivating the producers to organise the special screenings.
Twelve-year-old Harsh Mayar, around whom the story revolves, has already recieved a National Award for his role in the movie.
