/> Who is fuelling these never-ending stories of the Katrina-Sonakshi war? It isn't either of the two hotties who are too busy with their respective careers to bother with what the other is doing.

Says a source close to Katrina, "Katrina is busy promoting Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara She's quite annoyed with these stories of a so-called war with Sonakshi. She hardly knows Sonakshi, has met her socially a few times when the two have been cordial to one another.

When Salman was planning to sign Sonakshi for Dabangg it was Katrina who encouraged him to do so arguing she was the right choice for the role. And now the next thing she hears is that Sonakshi has been bad-mouthing her.

We now hear it is completely untrue. Sonakshi has not made one single derogatory comment on Katrina. A third party is planting these stories about the imaginary war between the two girls which is now embarrassing both of them. "

In fact the girls have now mutually decided not to react to these stories at all.

Says the source, "Nowadays the number of young nubile actresses trying to get Salman's attention by hook or by zip has gone up manifold. Salman has always had heroines playing up to him to bag roles opposite him.

More often than not he has obliged knowing fully well he's being used. This time the matter is a little more complicated. By creating a fictional war between Katrina and Sonakshi someone somewhere hopes to get into the superstar's good books. "

Unluckily for the spoilsport elements Katrina and Sonakshi have wised up, and decided not to react to any questions on one another. It's a pact between two girls who know they are part of a plan to create new glam-war in Bollywood.

Earlier Shabana Azmi-Smita Patil, Sridevi-Jaya Prada, Madhuri-Juhi Chawla, Kareena Kapoor-Priyanka Chopra were similarly pitched against one another.

Says a source, "At least there was some amount of genuine friction between the earlier pairs of female rivals. Sonakshi and Katrina don't even know one another to be rivals. This is the handiwork of someone who wants the two girls to look like competitors. "

Sonakshi's mother Punam puts it succinctly when she says, "Rivlary to hamare zamanein mein bhi hua karta ttha. When I worked with Mumtaz in Jigri Dost there were were so many attempts to make us fight. We didn't fall for it. Sonakshi and Katrina too are too clever to fall into the trap. We know for a fact that Katrina is not upset at all. So who is spreading these rivalry stories?"

Someone with a dheela character, perhaps?
