Double Dhamaal to see second-phase release

Comic caper "Double Dhamaal", distributed by Reliance Entertainment and Maruti Pictures, that had an impressive opening in India and abroad, is now looking at a second-phase release in non-traditional markets.

Released June 24, the film stars Sanjay Dutt, Mallika Sherawat, Kangana Ranaut, Ritesh Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Ashish Chowdhry and Javed Jaferri. It will soon see a second phase of release in non-traditional markets such as France, Russia, China and Greece, among others, a statement from Reliance Entertainment said.

In North America, the Inder Kumar-directed flick opened in the top 20 films at the box office, while in Australia, it opened at the ninth position. In Britain, it opened at the tenth position at the box office, garnering the fourth highest per print average for the weekend.

"Double Dhamaal" will release in 58 countries in all, making it one of the most widely distributed Hindi films overseas.
