The 26-year-old software engineer pipped Anupam Singh Kushwah, settled in Poland and Deepak Pandit of Jammu to win the swayamwar, in the presence of a number of guests from the television fraternity.
Just like Rakhi, the actress also revealed that she has just got engaged and they would like to spend some time with each other before getting into the institution of marriage.
"The kind of life partner I had dreamt of.... Abhinav fits into it. During the show we, have discussed about leading a simple life and how would we be able to manage. So we have decided to just get engaged and spend sometime together and will get married in some time, " said Ratan after choosing her groom. She was dressed in red and golden lehenga and sported kundan and polka jewellery.
Abhinav added: "Ratan has taken this decision for me. We had discussed this before during the show a and Ratan understands my situation. We are engaged."
After the show was announced Ratan received a total of 54, 863 wedding proposals, Out of those, 16 prospective grooms, mostly from small towns like Haridwar, Aligarh and Rishikesh but settled in metro cities or even abroad, have been selected for the show.
The show started off with 16 prospective grooms, which eventually came down to final. Ratan, popularly known as Laali of "Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo", had previously said that she isn't sure if she would marry on screen.
Hosted by Ram Kapoor, the guest list included Rahul and Dimpy Mahajan, Nausheen Ali Sardar, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Bigg Boss and Roadies winner Ashutosh Kaushik among others.
