A source informs, "SRK had gone on a family holiday to Holland and London. On his way back he was carrying with him about 20 bags. Thus, the custom officials at airport interrogated him, while his family was allowed to go.
The interrogation was conducted by a team of deputy collector, Customs, Sameer Wankhede. Shah Rukh had to pay a duty of approximately Rs 1.5 lakh."
An eyewitness says, "The customs treated Khan, no differently than other passengers. They didn't give him any special treatment. He wasn't even allowed to make a phone call."
Customs commissioner, P M Govande confirms, "Yes, he was interrogated but it is a routine thing. Whenever people bring stuff they have to pay duty on it.
It was nearly R 1.5 lakh and the interrogation took time because he was carrying a lot of stuff."
