The epic adventure earned a total of $16.9 million at the foreign box office last weekend, taking its total to $66.3 million since opening, according to the Hollywood Reporter magazine. This is almost double its poor domestic take of $34 million dollars.
"Alexander" earned $6.9 million in Spain in a five-day show, becoming the fourth-biggest opening ever in the market. The movie also topped the box office chart in France with a five-day score of $3.8 million.
But it ranked third in Britain with only $2.3 million, behind director Geoffrey Sax's Michael Keaton starrer "White Noise", which earned $3.4 million.
In South Korea, "Alexander", which stars Colin Farrell, Angelia Jolie and Val Kilmer, picked up $1.5 million on its second weekend.
Last weekend, the multi-star packed "Ocean's Twelve" remained at a high tide with earnings of $17.2 million, taking its total to $137 million since its opening.
The Disney-Pixar computer cartoon hit "The Incredibles" powered to $315.7 million after earning $15.3 million the week before.
The treasure-hunting thriller "National Treasure", starring Nicholas Cage and "Troy" actress Diane Kruger, reached $102.9 million in total earnings in the international market after adding $13.5 million to its trove.
