Ace badminton player Saina Nehwal will be the guest on The Date Season 2 exclusively on India's premier Business news channel, Bloomberg UTV.

During the 30-minute tete-a-tete Saina will speak about her journey to the top, difficult moments on her tours, her struggle for sponsorships some years ago and her dreams to join Bollywood.

She also talks about how she loves being this teenage girl who loves her movies, her Shahrukh, ice cream and generally chilling out.

She literally blushed when asked about Shah Rukh Khan, her favourite actor and discussed her aspiration to work with King Khan.

During her date with Abha Bakaya, Saina reveals "If I ever got an offer for Bollywood a few years from now, I would love to try."

On the show she talks about her journey to the top, difficult moments on her tours when she was just beginning.

When she had to spend months abroad travelling in foreign countries and it was too expensive to call home. How she's so happy now that she can afford to take her parents or coach with her and have them there for support.

Saina talks about what gives her her sense of drive, and also how her life is so different to that of other teenage girls. But nothing can take from the success of winning for India.

Like any young girl she loves her movies, her Shah Rukh, ice cream and generally chilling out but these are indulgences as most of her time is spent training.

She also says that if she ever got an offer for bollywood a few years from now, she'd love to try it but her favorite hero – Shah Rukh – may be too old by then.

Saina recounts the hardships sportsmen endure when they are short of cash or sponsorships and looking for basic facilities like training, and funds to enter competitions.

She says Indian kids need to work a lot harder if India is to produce more successful sportsmen and women and really put India on the sporting map.

Saina is one of the 13 prolific guests on The Date Season 2. Bloomberg UTV features some key influencers who have walked the road less-traveled and emerged victorious.

The Date will unfold their success stories as they share personal experiences and insights on what it takes to succeed against all odds.

As the name of the show suggests, these entrepreneurs will share their life-stories as they unwind in their comfort zones. The show is anchored by Bloomberg UTV's Abha Bakaya.

At one point seeded No.2, Sainal is once again gearing up for the olympic challenge. She brought badminton back into the limelight once again after her success and became the third most popular sportsperson for endorsement deals after Dhoni and Sachin.
