"This is not a B or C grade film. It is a true story of corrupt police and district administration officials who rape the wives of men who do not pay them the regular "hafta"or bribe.

The film is set in rural India and tells the story of a woman who is repeatedy gang-raped by a DSP and some other officials. A small-time local politician takes her under his roof only to further rape and use her and then dump her on the streets.

As she is young and good looking she is forced into prostitution by the corrupt and all-powerful DSP to 'cater to the carnal needs of politicians who in turn support him making him almost invulnerable'.

Her husband a scrap dealer is thrown into prison and every time he makes bail is again implicated in some case or the other. The films tells the tale of several women who are forcibly raped because their hubands end up on the wrong side of the law or try to speak up against the police and administration's corrupt activities.

The desolate Ameesha Yadav who plays the character of Mamta sees an article and a photograph of the fire-brand Jenny D in a local newspaper and is inspired to contact her. She manages to contact her through one of her politician clients and runs away to Mumbai with the help of Jenny D and her NGO.

There they manage to rouse up the support of hundreds of women and start a movement against exploitation of women in India.

DJ Jenny D plays her own characer in the film and her Facebook campaigns supporting Aarakshan for Women and the Fight the Casting Couch campaign feature in the movie. This Hindi film is directed by R S Nath from Delhi and produced Kamal Uday Singh, a well-known Bhojpuri film producer.

According to the publicist for the film, "About 10 per cent of the film has already been shot and shooting will be continued in the coming weeks. The film is being shot at 2-3 locations in India, besides Mumbai and has a decent budget of Rs 2.8 crore."

According to producer Kamal Uday Singh, "I was inspired by the struggle of Anna Hazare and others who managed to inspire millions of Indians to join the peaceful and non-violent struggle. I already had a script ready on Anna Hazare's anti-corruption movement and the exploitation of women.

We decided to shoot in the first week of August and have already finished a smal schedule. Shooting for the film will resume after the Ganpati festival in Mumbai."

Singh admits that the film is based on the struggle of Anna Hazare but features a woman (DJ Jenny D) as the leader of the struggle instead of a male character. It is a woman-oriented film and three of the leading characters are female.

"It is the story of the fight against corruption, a corrupt system and the exploitation that feeds this corrupt system. I was very impressed with DJ Jenny D's single-handed campaign against the Casting Couch and decided to incorporate her into the film, " says Singh.
