"Yes, the surgery took place late last night and Salman is fine now. He has just been advised complete bed rest for a few days after which he can start working," a source close to the actor told.
The 45-year-old actor was suffering from a medical condition called trigeminal neuralgia and aneurysm for a long time now and when the pain became unbearable, Salman left for the US Aug 29 for treatment.
Salman, whose film "Bodyguard" is setting cash registers ringing at the box office, will leave for London after he recuperates to start the shoot of his next venture, "Ek Tha Tiger".
