Having done his own playback for his movies, Farhan Akhtar seems to have gotten keen on singing more often.
The actor who mouthed many a thought-provoking shayaris in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara was the star of the evening at Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy's party recently. So much so that he was the only crooner at the celebrations for the composer trio's 15 years in the industry.
It is commonly known that Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy, who have been associated with the actor-filmmaker since his debut - Dil Chahta Hai, share a great rapport with him.
"They spoke about how Farhan has evolved from a director to producer, actor and singer. Besides, they also appreciate his understanding of music as well as the inputs he gives for their compositions, " says a source.
The source further adds that Farhan was so excited about the kind of music they've composed for his films that he decided to wield the microphone at the party.
"Akhtar dedicated his songs to Shankar- Ehsaan-Loy that evening. He also sang the tracks that were not originally sung by him, " revealed our source.
