Martin Scorsese's epic "The Aviator" won the award for best dramatic film, with its star Leonardo DiCaprio winning the best actor award at the 62nd Golden Globe ceremony Sunday.

Clint Eastwood won as best director for the boxing drama, "Million Dollar Baby", with its star Hillary Swank taking the best actress award, said hollywoodreporter.com.

Alexander Payne's "Sideways" was named best comedy film and Spain's "The Sea Inside", starring Javier Bardem, won as best foreign language film.

Annette Bening's performance as a conniving 1930s stage diva in "Being Julia" won the award for best actress in a movie musical or comedy.

Jamie Foxx was best actor in a musical or comedy for "Ray". Foxx was also nominated in the category of supporting actor for "Collateral", but lost to Clive Owen.

Owen and co-star Natalie Portman won the best supporting actor awards for their performances in director Mike Nichols' "Closer".

The best screenplay award went to Alexander Payne and Jim Taylor for "Sideways".

Composer Howard Shore won for his original score in "The Aviator", while Dave A. Stewart and the Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger got the best song trophy for "Old Habits Die Hard" from the film "Alfie".

In the TV categories, Glenn Close won as best actress for "The Lion In Winter" and Angelica Houston was best supporting actress award for "Iron Jawed Angels".

HBO's "The Life and Death of Peter Sellers" was named best miniseries or TV movie, with its star Geoffrey Rush winning the award for best actor in a miniseries or telefilm.

William Shatner won the best supporting actor award for his performance in the TV drama "Boston Legal".

In other TV categories, "Nip/Tuck" got the best dramatic miniseries award, while Ian Mc Shane ("Deadwood") and Mariska Hargitay ("Law and Order") won the awards for best actor/actress in a drama.

Jason Bateman - star of the sitcom "Arrested Development" - won as best actor in a comedy series. Teri Hatcher of "Desperate Housewives" was named best actress in a musical or comedy.
