Though Imran Khan and his folks are not overly superstitious, his mother Nuzhat Khan is keen that he visits Fatehpur Sikri with her.
Apparently, the actor's grandfather ate filmmaker Nasir Hussain always had a tradition to visit this holy city, near Agra, once his movies released and were successful. Nuzhat now wants to continue this tradition.
Every year, several people seek blessings from Sufi saint Salim Chishti, in whose honour Fatehpur Sikri was built and whose tomb is one of the most important part of the city's attractions.
Says a source, "Nuzhat feels Imran should visit the tomb as his recent releases Delhi Belly and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan have been received favorably."
In fact, when the actor was shooting in and around Agra for the Ali Abbas Zafar movie, some of his family members had visited Fatehpur Sikri.
Says Imran, "I am not an overt believer, but my grandparents and now mom believes in this and I respect that. Both my films, Delhi Belly and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, have done extremely well and that's very satisfying."
Apparently, the star's mom feels it will be a thanksgiving gesture.
Considering that several stars are willing to seek any form of divine intervention when their movies release and do well, why not Imran?
Ajmer bound
Another popular destination among Bollywood folk is the dargah in Ajmer. Several stars regularly visit the Ajmer dargah before their movies release.
The list includes:
Katrina Kaif
Ajay Devgn
