A powerful script, brilliant performances and perfect execution made "Chandni Bar" a successful film. As the movie Wednesday completes a decade of its release, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar has thanked everyone associated with the national-award winning film, including lead actress Tabu.

"2day marks 10 yrs of 'Chandni Bar's' release. A spl thx 2 d producer R Mohan. He showed faith in me even after d disaster of 'Trishakti', " Bhandarkar posted on Twitter.

Starring Tabu in the lead role, "Chandni Bar" was Bhandarkar's first success and the film about bar girls and Mumbai underworld won four national awards including the best film on other social issues.

"'Chandni Bar' got 4 National Awards. Can never forget d feeling. Thx Tabu fr believing in me & givin a flawless prfrmnce in 'Chandni Bar'. No1 cld hve dne it bttr, " posted Bhandarkar who also made critically acclaimed movies such as "Satta", "Page 3" and "Fashion".
