Actor Ranbir Kapoor stayed away for partying and was seen busy shooting on his birthday on Wednesday.

As the Saawariya boy turned 29 on Wednesday, RK spent the whole day shooting for Anurag Basu's Barfee at Chandivali Studios in Mumbai.

However, he will be going out for dinner with his parents (actors Rishi and Neetu Kapoor) at Bandra.

Making his acting debut in the 2007 film Saawariya, for which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut, Ranbir went on to earn critical praise for his performance in Wake Up Sid (2009).

He later appeared in the commercially successful romantic comedy Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (2009) and the multi-starrer drama Raajneeti (2010), which is his biggest commercial success to date.

Ranbir has already earned a Casanova image in Bollywood following his link ups with co-actors Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and more recently Nargis Fakhri.
