Actor Ajay Devgan injured himself Monday while shooting for director Prakash Jha's film "Apaharan" in Maharashtra.

Devgan, who was advised bed rest, returned to his home here from Satara, 270 km from Mumbai, where the film was being shot.

The actor injured himself when he lost his balance during a fight scene and fell with his entire weight on his finger, which was crushed.

His wife, actress Kajol, too was present at Satara. Devgan's scenes have been rescheduled and Jha is now shooting other scenes with actor Nana Patekar.

Besides Patekar and Devgan, "Apaharan" stars Bipasha Basu, Mukesh Tiwari, Dayashankar, Ayub Khan and Akhilendra Misra.
