Once again, it's the season to be bitchy, gossipy, judgmental and voyeuristic.

The fifth edition of celebrity reality show Bigg Boss promises to offer enough vicarious pleasures of its own with last year's groovy host, Salman Khan revisiting the madhouse alongside a woefully miscast Sanjay Dutt.

Coming to the opening episode, it wasn't nearly as grand as its predecessor with hurried introductions, lackluster performances and almost zero turn out from previous seasons.

Unless you count former contestant Sameer Soni's brief appearance to promote his upcoming wedding in on-going Colors serial, Parichay.

And since Dutt's Rascals is ready for release, co-stars Ajay Devgn and Lisa Haydon showed up to plug the David Dhawan comedy. The men collaborated to pull a fast one on Lisa but her inability to play along made this one a flat prank.

Meanwhile, celebs have started tweeting on Bigg Boss 5.

Actor-cricket commentator Mandira Bedi tweeted: "Yikes.. Every year the Hosts of the show get better.. And the contests get worse.. "

Filmmaker Shirish Kunder tweeted: "For a change, Shakti Kapoor is going to get gang raped in Big Boss. Big Boss has proved one thing. People love freak shows."

Roshan Abbas said: "From criminals to wives and girlfriends of criminals!! Way to go Big Boss. This is boring...pls bring Dolly Bindra back!! When so many effects and long jib shots r used u know the artiste is crap..so far its used for every contestant in Big Boss entry!!"

Actor Konkona Sen Sharma was trying to get away from the Bigg Boss frenzy.

"It seems you can't escape Big Boss. Even if you're not watching, it's what everybody is tweeting," tweeted Konkona.

Singer Abhijeet Sawant said: "Watching big boss.. My friend mehek chahel is in the show.. I know her.. She is very shot tempered.. Woh laga sakti hai sabki waat.. Go girl."

Actor-producer Ajay Devgn said: "Shot this morning with Sanju an Salman 4 Big Boss. We r really the original 3 Rascalas!!!!!!"

Since actor Shakti Kapoor is the only male inmate in the Bigg Boss house, speculations have started on with whom he can make a team.

Pooja Bedi
She is a hot, but she is also the daughter of Kabir Bedi, after all. Shakti has done few films with Kabir and surely will not want to do bad with the Pooja, so he can safely team with her.

Juhi Parmar
She obviously loves soap operas, considering she earned her fame acting in them. Wethinks Shakti loves drama too, considering there is so much of it in his life. Common ground.

Mahek Chahal
She is sexy and a good friend of host Salman Khan. Befriending the host's friend is a good way to stay on the show.

Vida Samadzai
She is a woman who is brave enough to wear a bikini and get banned by her home country Afghanistan. Which man wouldn't love to be with someone like her?

Nihita Biswas
Obviously, she loves bad boys. She did marry serial killer Charles Sobhraj after all. And Shakti Kapoor has perfected the bad boy image like no other B-towner. They will be a perfect match

VJ Pooja Missra
This girl loves to dance and we know that Shakti loves to groove too. Remember his moves in the Raja Babu song? Well, Shakti would definitely want to do an item number with Pooja at some point!

Shraddha Sharma
She shot to fame by claiming that her then boyfriend Raja Chaudhary had beaten her. Shakti does well with controversies too, so they should get along well.

She is cute and can be quite the charmer. It wouldn't be difficult to imagine Shakti enjoying this smart girl's company!

Meanwhile, alleging that her husband has been kept as a "hostage" in a Kathmandu prison, Nihita Biswas, the Nepali wife of serial killer Charles Sobhraj, has revealed that she is participating in the reality show Bigg Boss 5 to explore new challenges in life.

Already housemates of Bigg Boss Season 5 have nominated Nihita Biswas and Pooja Misrra for eviction from Bigg Boss House.
