Another puraskar in his kitty. Shankar Mahadevan has bagged the Lata Mangeshkar award in Hyderabad on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh government.

This is his contribution to the regional and the national music. Every year, the winners are selected by a panel headed by Mangeshkar herself.
