The gorgeous diva is busy these days with the promotion of her directorial venture ‘Tell Me O Kkhuda'.
The film will feature Esha Deol and Hema is trying to give a good come back platform to her daughter with this movie.
"I, the mother, being producer and director of the film, naturally would take my daughter Esha. To me, she is a very fine actress and she had proven it in this film, " she told.
Hema Malini feels that it is her daughter's performance and the music that can be considered as the USP of the movie.
Speaking about the film she said: "Tell Me O Kkhuda is film about an orphan girl's passionate quest to know her roots. She asks her questions to Khuda (God) and to get an answer she has to travel all over...she has to undertake a great journey to Rajasthan, Turkey and Goa. "
However, Malini also mentioned it clearly that her film may have slight similarity with Hollywood flick titled ‘Mamma Mia' but the entire film is different.
She said: "When I was looking for a script, I went through many of them before zeroing on this one. It has a slight similarity but it's not that the entire film is like Mamma Mia unlike what some people are saying. You have to go and see the film to find out. "
The film is scheduled to hit the silver screens this Diwali.
In her long career in B-town, Malini had entertained her fans in numerous movies like 'Kranti', 'Satte Pe Satta', 'Kranti', 'Naseeb', 'Satte Pe Satta', 'Seeta Aur Geeta', 'Baghban' and 'Sholay'.
