After bonding with R Balki (Paa, Cheeni Kum), the producer of her Bollywood comeback film English Vinglish, over long conversations in Tamil, Sridevi's film will now also be made in Tamil as well as Telugu. The movie is directed by Balki's wife Gauri Shinde.
Says a source, "Sridevi began her acting career in the South. As she has her audience among the Tamil and Telegu cinegoers as well, it has now been decided that the film will be released in these languages as well."
The actress is currently in US shooting for the flick.
As part of her preparations, the actress had attended Hindi diction classes to perfect her dialogue delivery in her Bollywood comeback.
As Tamil is her mother tongue and she is familiar with Telugu, it has been decided that the actress can mouth the lines for the regional versions as well.
Mass appeal
In the film, Sridevi plays a woman who can't live up to her always on-the-go hubby. Balki and Gauri both put their expertise from their advertising backgrounds to came up with a tight and compact script that completely floored Sridevi.
In the past
Though she is featuring in ads of late, when it comes to the big screen Sridevi has starred with Akshay Kumar in Meri Biwi Ka Jawab Nahin (2004).
In the same year, she did a TV soap titled Malini Iyer, which was produced by her husband Boney Kapoor and directed by Satish Kaushik which did not get a favourable response at that time.
