"I would definitely like to say that if a film is good, then it will do well.
But in today's times, a good film needs to be presented to the audience in a smart way, for which a lot of marketing is required. If the marketing is not good, then even a good film will not be able to reach out to the target audience, " Gul told reporters on the sidelines of an event here.
The actress, who earned critical acclaim for her performance in films like "Dor", "Manorama Six Feet Under" and "Turning 30", married her long time boyfriend, Rishi Attari early this year.
She feels one should marry when he or she wants to and not out of societal pressure.
"I recommend marriage to girls who want to marry out of choice. I don't believe that marriage can be done when someone else chooses (someone) for you and you just get married. Women must have the right to choose whom to marry and when to marry, " she added.
