Stepping stone: Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan's daughter, and Pooja Bhatt's half-sister Aalia always dreamt of an acting career. She too was spotted by none other than Karan Johar and will now star in his next film. Interestingly even before a single release, both Varun and Aalia have become fodder for gossip as they are apparently seeing each other.

Debut film: Karan Johar's Student of the Year
Stepping stone: Coming from the Dhawan family, Varun has worked with Karan Johar in many films including assisting him in My Name is Khan. Stepping stone: Ahana clearly seems to be the hot favourite amongst filmmakers. She was inundated with offers from reputed directors like Aparna Sen and Vikramaditya Motwane, but for some reason the films never materialised.

But Ahana who first wanted to turn fashion designer and then film director has finally zeroed in on Shoojit Sarcar's film, which is a romantic comedy.
