All that you wanted to know about Ash's baby and didn't know who to ask

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan gave birth to a baby girl yesterday at an upscale Marol hospital around 10.30 am. The delivery was done under the supervision of Dr Vinita Salve.

There has been a lot of speculation about the Bachchan grandchild but the family has been very careful not to let out any detail.

High security

The hospital authorities went all out to provide privacy to their high profile patient. There were police vans parked outside and inside the hospital premises.

There was a lot of security arranged by the Bachchans themselves. Apart from a lot of security checks at the entrance, no one was allowed to stand or sit in the lobby and near the entrance.

The relatives of other patients at the hospital complained that they were being inconvenienced by the tight security employed by the family.

A visitor says, "We had to go through a series of security checks and were questioned at every point." Even the hospital staff looked visibly stressed.

Refusing to divulge any detail about the child, a doctor said they were under a non-disclosure contract.

A security personal however reveals, "We are expecting a lot of VVIP guests and politicians coming to meet the Bachchans today and we have been asked to tightened the security."

Like mother, like daughter

A ward-boy from the hospital reveals, "Both mother and the child are in good health.

The baby girl is a replica of her mother. She has the same features and her eyes are like Ash and she weights between six and seven pounds."

The ward boy also reveals that there were five other deliveries at the hospital yesterday.

Dr Salve was spotted having lunch with her colleagues at the hospital cafe after the delivery. She however refused to divulge any detail about Ash and the baby.
