The four-hour concert will see the musician performing on a 3,000-sq ft stage at Bangalore Palace grounds, accompanied by 160 tonnes of theatrical and electronic equipment.
Sting, alias Gordon Matthew Sumner, will belt out songs both from his days as a Police band member and as a solo artiste.
The audience can expect to hear all-time favourites such as "Message in a Bottle", "Roxanne", "Every Breath You Take", "Fields of Gold", "Every Little Thing He Does Is Magic" as well as latest hits from his "Sacred Love" album.
"I love India. That is why I am addicted to this great country and its temples," Sting told reporters on the eve of the concert.
According to event manager T. Venkat Vardhan, Sting's production designer Bruce Rodgers is creating an unusual stage ambience with six risers.
Known for their state-of-the-art stagecraft, Sting's stage managers Jim Gable and Ann Kim have crafted videos of 15 hit tracks, laying emphasis on the recent songs from the "Sacred Love" album.
Gable and Kim are also placing a set of monolithic walls to complete the visual spectacle. Sting's reputation as a hi-tech performer will be ensured by the use three NEV 7.2 systems to deliver content.
Dance is a major part of the concert and various filmed routines will be projected on screens to add a theatrical element.
Singers Joy Roch and Donna Guardian and musicians Domnique Miller, Jason Rebello, Rhain Criga and Keith Carlocle will accompany the star.
Meanwhile, Sting's official endorser and event partner, UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), plans to entertain Indian corporate high-flyers at the concert.
As one of the world's most popular and enduring symbols of pop rock, Sting will help showcase Britain as the destination of choice for Indian companies, a UKTI statement released here said.
