The Bollywood Awards and Bollywood Fashion Awards will be held April 29 and 30 at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, reports Bollywood Trade.
Non resident Indians (NRIs) can now nominate their favourite stars for each respective award category on the Bollywood Group's official web site, www.bollywoodawards.com. Additional ballots and information regarding the awards will also be available in leading stores and web sites.
Bollywood stars like Rani Mukerjee, Saif Ali Khan, Fardeen Khan, Lara Dutta, Bhoomika Chawla and Aftab Shivdasani will participate in the awards ceremony, said Kamal Dandona, chairman of the Bollywood Awards.
"We will also have the presence of the Indian film industry stalwarts such as Yash Chopra and newcomers such as Kunal Kohli, the director of 'Hum Tum', 'Swades' lead actress Gayatri Joshi and Akshay Kapoor, the lead actor from 'Popcorn Khao Must Ho Jao'," said Dandona.
Dandona said Hollywood stars would also be present, to make NRIs feel some sort of connection between their present environment and their roots.
The previous Bollywood Awards had American celebrities like Richard Gere, Sharon Stone, Michael Jackson, Harvey Weinstein and Tyra Banks participating.
