"Troy" star Brad Pitt, who so far has only appeared in European TV commercials, will be seen in a one-minute spot for Heineken beer during Sunday's Super Bowl telecast.

More and more Hollywood celebrities, such as Robert De Niro, Nicole Kidman and now, Pitt - are pitching products on US television, said imdb.com.

Traditionally, Hollywood stars have been concerned that such TV endorsements could tarnish their image.

Kidman endorses the perfume brand Chanel No.5, while De Niro recently appeared in a controversial spot for American Express.
