Composer A.R.Rahman has quashed rumours that he put in a word for actor Prateik Babbar in upcoming film "Ek Deewana Tha".

"There is no truth to the fact that I recommended Prateik for the movie. I think he is naturally talented as I previously worked with him in 'Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na'. He is very charming and I think he has a great future, " said Rahman.

In "Ek Deewana Tha", Prateik has been cast opposite British model Amy Jackson. The film, directed by Gautham Menon, is a Hindi remake of his own Tamil film "Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa".
