But it was refreshing for me to hear a subject that could have been interpreted like this as this Vijay (character name) is in deep contrast and very very simple. He is younger, simple and it's a very plausible and a very real character, " he said.
Sanjay Dutt also elaborated on his role as 'menacing' 'Kancha Cheena', which was earlier played by Danny Denzongpa. "The character was very challenging for me. I really felt happy and enjoyed a lot enacting it on screen, " he said. The movie has been produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions and is directed by Karan Malhotra.
The much-hyped film has reportedly fetched a whopping Rs 41 crore for its satellite rights, the highest ever in the history of Indian cinema. The movie is set to hit the theatres on January 26.
