With the debacle of Yaadien, Subhash Ghai is desperately trying to salvage his Mukta Arts banner. The showman has had talks with the roly-poly David Dhawan and apple of David`s eye Govinda. The duo makes a surefire combination and Ghai hopes to cash on them. Subhash Ghai had first approached Govinda for Taal. But things didn`t work out between them. Some said Govinda didn`t want to be just another extra in a film that focused on Aishwarya Rai while yet others claimed that Subhash Ghai was not ready to give Govinda his price.

After all, working for the Mukta Arts banner itself was a matter of privilege. But that was back then. This time Ghai let his defenses down and agreed to all the terms and conditions the winning duo had demanded as long as they did the film for his banner. When contacted Govinda was however non-committal saying that he was not aware of any such offer. But it won`t be long for the showman to hit back with a vengeance!
