Sushmita Sen, who reportedly signed up Kalpana Lajmi's Chingari and started shooting for it secretly has met with accident on the sets in Satara on Tuesday.

Narrating the whole incident Lajmi says," We were shooting a scene which had Sushmita marching across a Shiv temple in one village to another temple with 1,000 villagers. It's as if she is leading a revolution and she had to wade across a small river.

When she was nearing the banks, she had to remove her shoes as they would show on the screen and that's when she cut the underside of her big toe on a rock. Though it was a small cut, it bled profusely. We called a doctor who gave her some painkillers and bandaged the wound."

Sushmita was last seen doing a Devdas-style Maar Daala in Subhash Ghai's Kisna, which failed to make waves.

In her upcoming release, Bewafaa, she plays Kareena Kapoor's elder sister and Anil Kapoor's wife.
