Grohl's Foo Fighters also made an impressive performance on Sunday night by winning five Grammys including the Best Rock Performance for "Walk" and Best Rock Album for "Wasting Light."
Singing sensation Taylor Swift clinched the 'Best Country Solo Performance' award for her country number titled 'Mean'. She also received the 'Best Country Song' title for the same number.
'The Best Country Album' award was won by Lady Antebellum for 'Own The Night'.
Bon Iver received the 'Best New Artist' award on the glitzy night.
One of the most memorable moments of the night was when singer Jennifer Hudson paid a tribute to six-time Grammy winner Whitney Houston and performed a soulful track-"I Will Always Love You."
Houston, who passed away recently, was remembered by the artists on the most important night for the singers.
As for the Indian connection, Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra was present at the gala event this year.
An excited Priyanka had tweeted: "Ok guys!! Grammy time!Just landed into LA.. options of gowns.. Indian designer or western..?Hmmm..I'm biased towards wearing Indian talent."
