"I have been busy writing my own script that I want to act in and want to co-direct the film. It's a Hindi film. I am also writing something for America, a sitcom. My episodes are ready and just need to go to Hollywood and bounce them off to studios," said Udita.
After staying away from the silver screen for some time, she will now be seen in "Diary of a Butterfly", about a girl's journey from Jaipur to Mumbai and the turn of events in her life. Udita is playing the lead role and is busy promoting the movie.
However, for her directorial venture Udita has no plans to collaborate with young hunks in filmdom, she would rather approach seasoned actor like Amitabh Bachchan.
"I am not casting any of these hunks. It's a story of an older guy and a young girl. So I am looking at, maybe, someone like Naseeruddin Shah, Amitabh Bachchan or Anil Kapoor or maybe a Vijay Mallya. I think he is a very good option. I was contemplating on a few more names and I thought, Vijay Mallya would be good," said Udita who debuted in Bollywood in 2003 with "Paap".
The 28-year-old's last film was 2010 movie "Rokk" and "Diary of a Butterfly" is her first release in the last two year.
Also starring Rati Agnihotri, Nassar Abdulla, Sofia Hayat and Aryan Vaid, the film is scheduled to land in theatres March 2.
