Neil Nitin Mukesh is back from Kenya but with a lot of pain. Heavy duty action scenes for "Shortcut Romeo" took a toll on the actor.

"Back in the city. Mumbai. Can't wait to hit the bed. The action scenes have taken a toll on me. In excruciating pain on the shoulder blade," Neil posted on his Twitter page late Wednesday night.

But in the morning, he felt better.

"The pain has gone down a bit. But I can feel the stiffness yet. Will have to take care before action starts again," he wrote.

Neil was in Masai Mara and Nairobi for the shooting of "Shortcut Romeo", a romantic thriller being directed and produced by Susi Ganeshan. It is a Hindi remake of Ganeshan's 2006 Tamil film "Thiruttu Payale" and also feature Ameesha Patel and Puja Gupta.

The action sequences, designed by Selva, have been tough on Neil. He even shot in jungles, and the crew had to crawl at one point.

"I had a hundred thorns in my hand. Just wonder how the animals don't get pricked," he had written then.

Neil was last seen in "Players".
