Ganesh Hegde is upbeat about fatherhood, his next video and starting a dance school soon

Ganesh Hegde is all smiles these days. Reason being the Chammak Challo choreographer has just turned father to a baby boy, is coming out with his next dance album, Bollydude starring Deepika Padukone and is all set to start his dance school.

Ganesh is excited to have a new member in his family. "It hasn't sunk in yet. We have named him Giaan. My wife Sunaina wanted our son's name to start with the same letter as mine. I met Shipla Shetty the other day and she gave a very nice interpretation of my son's name. G (Ganesh) ki aan (pride)."

The proud papa says, "My son has feet like mine and a dimple. So I am sure he will be charming and a good dancer. I want to bring him up with traditional values."

Since it is Ganesh's first Holi after marriage and fatherhood, he plans to celebrate it in a subdued manner. "It will be a quiet Holi with my friends."

Talking about his next video he reveals, "I have grown up watching Kishore Kumar, Charlie Chaplin, Jerry Lewis, and Austin Powers. I always wanted to dance in an inhibited, unusual, funny way.

I thought 'why not play a foolish character like in the video'. It is someone like Austin Powers who is being protected by Deepika Padukone. She was the best girl to play the part of female James Bond (in the video).

Suresh Menon (co-actor) gets beaten up by me in the song in an unusual dance competition, so he wants to take revenge. It's a very funny and over the top." The choreographer is all set to debut as a director and an actor. "People wanted me to act in the movies.

I have finally found a nice script but I have decided that I will never act in the film that I direct and vice versa. And am also in the process of starting my dance school which will train people in Bollywood dance."
