Flick-o-mania
I can watch films back to back all day. I love all kinds of films. I just love the medium of cinema and the expression of thoughts and ideas through it. Depending on my mood, I pick a genre and use it to indulge myself.
Films help me better my understanding of people, and life in general. It helps me learn about myself and how I feel about things. I prefer watching films alone. It's the perfect de-stresser.
Shaking a leg
I have always loved dancing. It comes naturally to me. I have an emotional connect with dance. I've learnt Odissi for ten years. My mother does workshops on movement and dance that help you find your own body language to music.
Even at parties, I am known as the first one to arrive first on the dance floor and the last one to leave. It's an expression of love to me. I enjoy watching dance as well – classical as well as modern.
Rhythm divine
I love music even though I know very little of it. I often use music to change my mood. I've used music to even get into a mood for a scene.
Music goes deep into your system and alters the settings. It's a very powerful tool if you know how to use it to your advantage. I let it heal me. I hum to myself all the time.
Writing to de-stress
I'm not a writer. But I write letters to my friends and close ones; I may end up posting or just personally handing them over. When I'm feeling cluttered in my head, I write down what I'm feeling to make sense of it.
On a lighter note, I like writing stupid things like lists of things to remember, to buy, to do. That's why I love stationery shops.
Games
Much as I hate exercising, make me play any sport and I'll join in before you finish asking me. In school, I've played all kinds of sports from basketball, volleyball, badminton, football to rock climbing.
Even the heat wasn't a deterrent when it came to play. I haven't played in a long time, but indoor games have taken that spot.
