The actress, who was earlier linked with co-star Ranbir Kapoor and director Imtiaz Ali, rubbishes the latest rumours of her fling with Shahid Kapoor

Nargis Fakhri is far from amused by rumours of her alleged link-up with Shahid Kapoor. Last week, there were reports of the actress threw up all over him at a party.

"I read these stories and wonder who are they talking about. Shahid is a nice person, but I hardly know him well enough to be throwing up all over him.

This story is so gross, I had to speak up to clear my name. Like any other girl, I am answerable to my mother. It's not nice to read how I've been cozying up with and throwing up on a guy I hardly call a friend."

Sighs Nargis, "I met Shahid at an awards function where we performed. He was supportive, as it was my first performance. He invited me for his birthday and I very happily went, as I felt there was there nothing wrong in going out.

I am young and need friends in Mumbai. It is wrong that I am spoken of in such a sordid manner. I'd rather be on my own, just focusing on my work and classes."

Her daily schedule includes four hours of Kathak, two hours of Hindi classes and two hours of Bollywood dancing. "Where do I have the time to cozy up? It's gross to read about your fantasy love life in the papers.

"I was supposedly seeing Ranbir Kapoor, and even my director Imtiaz Ali. I'm not even working with Shahid, and to read that I am partying and puking in his company! I wonder where all this starts from."
