Co-produced by Johar's Dharma Productions and Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment, the film will launch three new faces in the B-town - Alia, who is the daughter of Mahesh Bhatt, David Dhawan's son Varun, and model-turned-actor Siddharth Malhotra - in prominent roles.
It is the first time that Johar is working with an all-new cast and is said to be excited about working with the new bunch of actors, because it reminds him of his initial days in the industry.
"Karan's been shooting in Bangkok for the past several weeks now and he's expected to return sometime in the first week of May. He's extremely excited to work with a bunch of newcomers and had been talking about their young energetic vibe, reminding him of his own days as a newcomer," a source said.
Johar's last directorial venture was "My Name Is Khan" in 2010.
