One such person is Annu Kapoor. In a recent interview, the veteran actor is reported to have said that Priyanka, who was his co- star in the critically-acclaimed 7 Khoon Maaf, did not take her role in the film seriously.
The movie portrayed the actress aging from 20 to 65 years, during which she goes through seven marriages. Annu who had played the role of one of Priyanka's seven husbands, supposedly does not think high of the actress.
Annu stated, "I have been in the industry for 30 years and have worked with some big actors. But when I worked with Priyanka in 7 Khoon Maaf, I felt she didn't take the role seriously."
But out of the blue, Priyanka seems to have found an unlikely supporter-in-shining-armour in her ex-publicist Dale Bhagwagar. Dale, who worked with Priyanka during her initial days in filmdom, and also handled PR for two of her films including Plan and Don, is by now considered a PR guru in Bollywood.
Hearing about Annu Kapoor's allegation, he tweeted, "Priyanka Chopra not being serious about acting sounds frivolous."
"Just look at the girl's career graph. Andaaz, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Aitraaz, Bluffmaster!, Taxi No. Nau Do Gyarah, Krrish, Don, Fashion, Dostana, Kaminey, 7 Khoon Maaf, Don 2 and Agneepath – Brand Priyanka has contributed to more than a dozen hits in a decade; a pace, consistency and bankability unmatched by most of the other heroines in the industry," Dale pointed out.
"Could all this be possible if she wasn't dedicated or passionate towards her work," asked the PR specialist. So true! We get the point and rest the case!
