"Bringing both Raghav and the Rishi Rich Project for the same function is indeed a coup of sorts for the Bollywood Awards," Kamal Dandona, chairman, Bollywood Awards, said.
"These are the hottest musicians and the South Asian youth is crazy about them. We are proud that we not only bring the best of Bollywood to the US, but the best of Indian-inspired entertainment from all over the world for our audience," he said.
The shows are to be held at "Xanadu" and the "Mark G. Etess" Arena respectively at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino, the organisers said in a statement.
Raghav, a music prodigy, studied classical Indian music with Guru Nishi Kant Bali at fifteen. The trilingual (English, French, Canadian) musician spent his school years studying, as well as touring internationally.
He was introduced to the highly influential Sly & Robbie and British R&B Producer Mushtaq three years ago, after being nominated for a prestigious Mobo Awards for the "Best Unsigned Artist."
Under their guidance, Raghav found his own niche as an artist, carving a space for himself on Britain's top 10 with hits such as "Can't Get Enough, "It Can't Be Right," and "So Confused."
The songs combine elements of R&B, Rap, Bollywood and Asian music, making beats and sounds that have been endlessly played on radios and at clubs continuously over the past year. His urban following has become huge and Raghav is one of music's fastest-rising stars.
The Rishi Rich Project is another hot name in the music industry today and also will be performing at the Bollywood Fashion and Movie Awards. Rishi Rich is the man responsible for the Indian-inspired collaborations with Britney Spears, Missy Elliot, Timbaland, Mary J. Blige, Craig David and other such huge stars.
Rishi has been in the mainstream music industry since 2002 when his Number 7 chart hit "Roll On" was released. Also in 2002, his debut solo album, "Simply Rich" went straight in at Number 1 in the Asian Pop charts and remained in the top three for six months after its release.
This kind of success has been unprecedented for an Indian music producer. Also performing at the Bollywood Movie and Fashion Awards will be the Punjabi vocalist, Juggy D, and rappers/vocalists, Jay Sean and Veronica.
Their debut single, "Dance With You" was a chart-buster, as were the club bangers "Sohniye" and "Eyes on You." Rishi Rich and Veronica forayed into Bollywood with the super-hit single, "U-n-I" from "Hum Tum."
Others who will perform at this year's Bollywood Awards include Rani Mukerjee, Saif Ali Khan, Fardeen Khan, Lara Dutta, Bhoomika Chawla and Aftab Shivdasani.
Singers like Tata Young and Amir Jamal of the "Dhoom" and "Kaho Na Kaho" fame respectively will also be there.
Stalwarts of the Indian film industry such as Shammi Kapoor, Vijantimala, Yash Chopra, as well as newcomers like Kunal Kohli, director of 'Hum Tum', Gayatri Joshi, lead actress of 'Swades' and Akshay Kapoor will also be there.
Top Caribbean artists, Rikkijai and Devindra Pooran will also add glamour to the stage.
The previous Bollywood Awards have played host to American celebrities such as Richard Gere, Sharon Stone, Michael Jackson, Harvey Weinstein, Tyra Banks, Steven Seagal and Jean-Claude Van Damme.
