Though he did not launch him, filmmaker Boney Kapoor has now found a suitable script for his son Arjun. However, the project will have to wait owing to his three-film deal with the makers of his Habib Faisal directed debut.
A source states that Boney recently found the right subject to make a movie with his son. "Arjun was often asked why his father didn't launch him.
And he had maintained that more than a launch, it was more about the right script and right team for his father to make the film with him, " says the informer. "A few days ago, the producer came up with the concept for a film. It's a contemporary romance saga."
But it looks like the producer papa will have to wait. As our source explains, "Considering that Ishaqzaade opened with over Rs 5 crore on Friday, producer Aditya Chopra is keen to start their next production with Arjun soon.
So Boney's film is scheduled to start only in the first half of next year, after Arjun's second film with the Chopras." Arjun's next film is also with his debut's heroine, Parineeti Chopra, and will be directed by Pradeep Sarkar.
However, the final call will be taken by producer Aditya Chopra. "There's also another script, which will be helmed by Shimit Amit. By the month-end, things will be finalised, as to which will be his next film." Arjun and Boney remained unavailable for comment.
