/> Department has been passed with an ‘A' certificate. There were no major cuts. Except for a major song about the police department which the censorboard asked to be deleted.

The song about the workings of the police department goes, "Laal batti aati hai, sab ki phat jaati hai, Mumbai police hai sab ka bhai. "

According to Mr J. P. Singh the Regional Officer, CBFC Mumbai, the song had to go because it was defamatory to the Mumbai police force.

However director Ram Gopal Varma disagrees. "We had to remove the song because the censor board felt it was derogatory to the police. I disagree. "

However with the song being passed for an adult viewership, the film is all set for release this Friday.
