There has been buzz about Madhubala... Ek Ishq, Ek Junoon being based on the life of actress Madhubala. As reported ‘No love lost' (Hitlist, May 10), the late star's sister was objecting to the show.

Prashaant Bhatt from the channel states, "It is a tribute to the 100 years of Indian cinema. There will be similarities to the lives of many stars; we are not singling any particular artiste and focusing on their life entirely."
