It's the first time that 28 students of FX School, Mumbai, have shot, edited, and given the visual effects for Department, starring 
Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt. CS gets you the inside story:
Digital tales 
Department is a landmark film in that it marks the onset of the digital revolution that is sweeping film industries worldwide, into 
mainstream cinema in India. It was filmed digitally using still cameras. An innovative digital workflow allowed editing and visual 
effects to be done simultaneously as the film was being shot.
Industry-ready professionals
FX School offers diploma and certificate courses in the fields of CG animation and game development, visual effects, photography, 
digital art and digital filmmaking, collectively called digital content creation. 
The school has world-class infrastructure 
and is the first institute in India to have a production-ready environment including a state-of-the-art chroma studio, fully equipped
