Actors Amisha Amit Patel and Sonam Kapoor turned a year older on Saturday.

Amisha Patel, the ‘Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai' girl who was born on June 9, 1975 turned 37, while Sonam Kapoor, who is regarded as the fashion icon now, was born on June 9, 1985 and turned 27.

She is the eldest daughter of popular Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor.

Patel made her acting debut with the super hit movie Kaho Naa.Pyaar Hai', opposite actor Hrithik Roshan.

But she gained recognition for acting in the film ;Gadar: Ek Prem Katha' that earned her a Filmfare Special Performance Award.

Her Bollywood projects include Yeh Zindagi Ka Safar, Kranti, Humraaz, Mangal Pandey: The Rising and Bhool Bhulaiyaa to name a few.

Before entering into films, Patel worked as an economic analyst at Khandwala Securities Limited.

On the other hand, Kapoor stepped into Bollywood in 2007 with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya opposite actor Ranbir Kapoor.

The movie didn't do well in the box-office.

She was later noticed for her acting in the rom com movie I Hate Love Story.

Her other films include Delhi-6, Mausam and Thank you etc.
