Actress Rani Mukerji-starrer "Aiyya" was earlier scheduled for a Sep 28 release, but it has been postponed and now it will hit screens during Dussehra.

Co-produced by Anurag Kashyap and Viacom 18, "Aiyya" has been directed by Sachin Kundalkar.

"Yes, we were supposed to release our film on Sep 28, but now the film has been pushed back. There is no specific reason as such. It is a collective decision taken by Anurag Kashyap and Viacom 18," Kundalkar told.

"Now we are looking for Dussehra release. It will be releasing in the last week of October," he added.

"Aiyya" is said to be about a woman who finds a man desirable because he smells good and Rani, last seen in "No One Killed Jessica", has teamed up with southern actor Prithvi Raj for the movie.

"I am not really done with the film. The editing is going on full swing. And Amit Trivedi is composing the music presently," said Kundalkar.
