A family member told that the marriage was solemnised Friday evening at a hotel in Barog, near Kasauli hills in Solan district. The guest list included only Mohit's close friends and family members.

Mohit's wife works with an English magazine and hails from Dehradun in Uttarakhand.

He has mostly sung popular English tracks or self-composed Hindi songs. He has also popularised 'pahari' or hill folk music.
