Samir Kochhar will don the khaki in Milan Luthria's gangster sequel

Anchor-turned-actor Samir Kochhar is rather ecstatic these days. After all, he has been signed on for director Milan Luthria's upcoming gangster film (produced by Ekta Kapoor) for the role of a cop. In the earlier film, the role of this tough cop was played by Randeep Hooda.

In the meanwhile, Samir is also working on another Ekta Kapoor project — on a TV serial. The actor who recently flew to Dubai to shoot for the show says, "Since the first film was very popular, comparisons between me and Randeep are bound to happen.

But I am ready for them." Samir is glad that both the projects worked out at the same time. He says, "I was at the right place at the right time."
