Udita Goswami, who is not to be seen on the big screen of late, finds a film starring her release almost seven years after she shot for it.
The project has Suniel Shetty as her co-star and is directed by Rajnish Raj Thakur. The starlet says, "It took me by surprise. It was a long-forgotten project. Suniel has taken it over and is ensuring that it gets a release. They have even retitled it."
The actress who is presently spending time with family and friends in Chandigarh and New Delhi won't even be in town when the film releases. She says, "Suniel is doing everything. I did shoot for a song as they required recently. But I am not really involved in anything else."
So what has made her maintain her distance from B-Town? Udita points out, "Things have changed a great deal. Everything is so PR driven in the industry nowadays. Hardly is a project announced that the star's machinery gets into motion.
I really can't see myself doing everything with a publicity blitzkrieg of whatever is happening in my life. I am happy in my own quiet space doing things I want to do and more importantly with time to spend with my folks."
She adds, "But it is not that I am not doing anything. I do a lot of shows and that keeps me busy. As most of these events are held outside Mumbai or overseas, people are not aware of what is happening.
I was in the US for two months recently." The starlet who made her debut with John Abraham nine years ago in Pooja Bhatt's film Paap says she is open to acting but really does not want to be pushy and go all out for it.
