Looks like Ayaan Mukerji's upcoming film with Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor may not be able to meet its release date that is presently slotted for March 2013
In fact, thanks to Ayaan's constant reworking on the script, the film's previous deadline of January of the same year had to be postponed to two months later.
Our source from the sets says, "Ayaan is constantly working on his script. The shoot was scheduled for only 45 days but it has been overshot by a long mark, leading to an increase in the budget."
A crewmember from the film tells us, "Quite a bit of the film is yet to be shot. This delay has caused problems for the actors in the film as some of them have lost out other projects because of this date drama as.
Now the actors are required to give their dates to shoot the remaining portion. Since this is a Karan Johar production, they let other offers go. For instance, Kalki has lost out on two film offers."
