He was able to swipe just Rs 8, 000, but managed to give some anxious moments to Bollywood's first family.
Early in the morning on July 20, Dilip Kevat scaled the wall of Jalsa — the bungalow of Amitabh Bachchan — overcame the nets placed to stop intruders, and got into the house with the intention of robbery.
While he was sifting through the belongings, he was spotted by one of the family members, who raised an alarm and called security. The guards soon caught the person and later handed him over to Juhu police.

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan wrote on his blog, "Spent some anxious moments yesterday since we had a break in! The guy was caught and is with the police now under investigation. Seems like a professional, for he had entered the most sensitive area of the house, Jalsa."
"Cops and security are in overdrive now. In the end nothing is secure, irrespective of how much precaution one takes, " Bachchan added.
